Practicing the Art of Geotechnical Engineering in a Scientific World?
Presented by:  Ken Wittman, Sr. VP of Dealey, Renton & Associates
Owners', developers' and contractors' expectations for geotechnical service providers often do not appropriately consider the complexity of the investigation and design. As we arrange professional liability for a large number of geotechnical firms, we have noticed some common issues in reported claims. The focus of the presentation is to discuss claim examples; the liability realities of providing services; and ideas about how to manage and mitigate risk.
