EXPLORING THE SUBSURFACE: THE APPLICATION OF GEOPHYSICS IN GEOTECHNICAL PROJECTS

Event Description

The geophysics presentation will be provided by either Ken Blom or Bill Black. Both are principal geophysicists with NORCAL Geophysical Consultants, Inc. that was recently acquired by Terracon.  Both have over 40 years of professional experience with a wide variety of geophysical applications focused mainly on geotechnical, environmental, and groundwater investigations.  
 
The presentation will provide an overview of current geophysical capabilities with emphasis towards their use in geotechnical engineering projects. The presentation will cover both surface and borehole geophysical methods and will highlight a number of recent projects.
 
There will be two dinner meetings: In Sacramento on Tuesday, June 20, and in Irvine on Thursday, June 22.
